Rouen is a marvellous small city, offering plenty of historical sites and little gems to discovery. The food is amazing, if you stay away from Non-European Cuisine. 😅 Rouen has its own speed, very vibrant yet relaxing. A true treat for your eyes.

In the 24 hours we had, we visited the cathedral, Joan of Arc’s church and the Musée de Beaux Arts, all really interesting. Had a lovely meal in a Paul’s, a very traditional restaurant by the cathedral.

Rouen is a most attractive town with wonderful gothic and timber framed buildings. Extremely walkable everywhere. Lots of fun speciality shops, decent groceries and good restaurants. Lively with lots of sidewalk cafe people watching. Viking river cruise boats stop here and during the mid-day you will see big cruise boat tours coming from Le Harve. The train station is very tidy, helpful and convenient.

Our last visit was 10 years ago and Rouen has changed.
Our last visit was 10 years ago and Rouen has changed. The charming pedestrian street to the Horloge is peppered with American fast-food joints and the bodies of the homeless sleeping under the arches. It certainly detracts from the historic city of Jeanne d'Arc.

Stunning city with beautiful architecture.
Stunning city with beautiful architecture. Easy to park and to get around. Plenty of pedestrian streets. Highly recommend a visit to the cathedral - free entry and open quite late. The Sunday market was amazing - a combination of food stalls, clothing, antiques and books. Could happily have spent a couple of hours there. The city also has a great selection of independent shops and of course lots of cafes and restaurants.. Well worth a visit
The hotel is in a fabulous spot to wander through the old streets and buildings of Rouen and was exceptionally quiet for the location. The staff were very welcoming and friendly (apart from one guy at the bar who seemed to be having an off day) and although we were on the fourth floor with no lift we had a wonderful chap who carried our bags up the stairs for us as if he was Superman! The late checkout was great and the car parking available was handy and worked very well for us.
Hotel de Quebec was exactly what I needed road tripping through Normandy and booking last minute accommodations. I was here for 2 nights and the location was perfect! There is parking but it was full so I parked at a public garage close by which was still conveniently close to the hotel and just explored, walked everywhere and took in all the sites! Will def book again if I am back in the Rouen area. Best bang for my buck! Just what my budget needed!
Charming room in the eaves with rooftop view of Old Rouen. Up in a tiny lift then stairs from the 4th to 5th floor. Bathroom facilities good, though easier to take a bath than a shower. Excellent location for exploring the historic centre. We didn't have the breakfast, but used the carpark, which was a little cheaper than the nearest public one - you had to call the hotel for access, as it is underground and locked.
A perfect location if you simply want to crash, sleep have a good meal nearby plus a good boulangerie very close. Bit of a walk into the city but recommend the Moroccan restaurant La Machacha 10 mins away. The hotel was new, well priced and friendly staff. Large bed with a view of the Rouen rugby field.
Reception staff extremely helpful.Bed very comfortable.Perfect location for travel through France.Very secure parking.Great for motorways. Our 4th time staying at this hotel and it's great for visiting Rouen and your onward journey either to or from Calais. Will definitely stay here again.👍
Breakfast was ok - no hot food when we got there, but plenty of choice otherwise.
Beautiful boutique hotel in quaint street near the cathedral and plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops.
We also walked to the train station and caught a train to Paris for a day!
Our stay in Rouen was perfect! Staff at the hotel went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. The room was very comfortable, and we loved the seating areas indoors and on the terrasse where we could have a warm drink or a cocktail.
Cute boutique hotel in the thick of Rouen. Great location. The hotel was basic but comfortable for 1 night. Lovely continental breakfast although a little overpriced. As the hotel is old there is no lift which is understandable. Lovely hostess.
Great location heading back to the UK from Southern France also well located for Rouen centre. Staff friendly, rooms clean and quiet, even at the front of the hotel facing the road. Overall good value for money
We were passing through Rouen on a cycling tour of Normandy and arrived exhausted. The owners of Hotel de Québec were wonderfully welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and restorative!
The views of the cathedral and other Rouen landmarks are exceptional! The place is beautifully decorated and well equipped in a historic building. Location is the best in Rouen. Highly recommended
The location of the hotel is excellent with all of Rouen's sights, restaurants etc within walking distance. The breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. The hotel was clean.
